Saxophone Player Drew Stansall grew up in Leicester UK and has played and recorded with Jamaican ska pioneers: Prince Buster, Laurel Aitken, Alton Ellis, Derrick Morgan, Owen Gray, Rico Rodriguez and Symarip.For many years Drew has been at the fore-front of the old skool ska scene including many resident performances at the prestigious London venue 'Club Ska' Throughout his career he has played at many different types of venues from small bars to over five thousand at the Hamburg ska festival in 2003 and over 10,000 at the Lokerse feesten in Belgium 2007.
Drew has also performed at many festivals in the UK and Europe including playing at the 2006 Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland with Prince Buster. Drew is now the featured saxophonist for the Specials 30th anniversary tour including performing at Glastonbury, the V Festival, T in the Park and international tours of Australia, New Zealand and Japan. He has also appeared live on Jools Holland.
Drew is also the founder member of traditional ska band El pussycat who have wowed crowds in Europe and the States. See www.elpussycat.co.uk
