Gavin Broom BMus (Hons) is a nationwide sought after Jazz/session/pop trumpet player, and also a highly regarded composer/arranger.

The Gavin Broom Trio/quartet have performed around London and the U.K. including The British Press Awards 2007, Resident jazz trio at the Royal Ascot races 2006, the Financial Times Banking Awards 2006, along with regular performances around London including the ‘Gherkin', Kew Gardens, Kensington roof gardens, Royal Courts of Justice, Bentleys restaurant, The Natural History Museum, Aura, London Zoo, Hilton Hotel (Park lane, London bridge).

Within the jazz world he is a regular on the London jazz scene performing frequently at venues such as Ronnie Scott’s jazz club, the 606 jazz club, the Vortex jazz club, and many more. He has worked with Airto Moreira, Duncan Lamont big band, Robin Jones King Salsa, Robin Jones Latin jazz sextet, 606 big band, The Heritage Orchestra, Chris Bowden, Combustible Alarms big band, Billy Cobham, Omar Puente, Don Lusher, National Youth Jazz Orchestra, Silk Street Hot seven, Christian Garrick, Gareth Lockrane big band, NYJO Tomorrow’s Faces, Bobby Lamb big band.

He has played under the baton of, Sir Richard Hicox (2002), Sir Colin Davis BBC Prom (1999), Mstislav Rostropovich BBC Prom (1999), Sir John Eliot Gardner (NYO European tour 1998), Christopher Seaman (1998), Daniel Harding (1993). He was a finalist of the Royal Overseas league with ‘Lancier Brass (2003) and a finalist of the internal Brass prize at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (2003).
