Gavin Broom

Lead and Solo Trumpet, Flugel Horn

Gavin Broom is a London based trumpet player who studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he studied both Classical and Jazz performance with Paul Cosh, Paul Benniston, Noel Langley, Martin Hathaway and Scot Stroman.

Gavin plays lead trumpet in The Heritage Orchestra, with whom he has performed in the Montreaux Jazz Festival and the London Jazz Festival, and participated in several recording sessions at BBC Maida Vale and the legendary Abbey Road studios.

Gavin has experience in the commercial and pop industry working for bands such as the Brit Award winners McFly, on a UK Arena tour and on television show Top of the Pops, CD UK and Fame Academy. Gavin also plays for the Young Bloods Big Band and the High Definition Horn Company.

Additionally, Gavin has performed in three BBC Proms and worked with conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, Mislav Rostrapovich and Sir John Eliot Gardener.
