Matt Dibble completed his degree in music at York University before returning to London in July 2002. In the academic year 2002/3 he specialized in Jazz on the Postgraduate course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he obtained his MMus. Matt Dibble is a composer and producer as well as a multi-instrumentalist; playing saxes, clarinet, piano and vocals. Since the end of his course at the Guildhall, he has played in various bands including the function band Ricochet, his own The Matt Dibble Band, a 4-piece gypsy jazz band and the ontemporary/experimental music ensemble DOLLYman. He has also been involved in musicals, playing 1st Alto/Clarinet on the Showtime Challenge 2 production of ‘Sweet Charity’ at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in December 2006.

In October 2004, he released his debut solo album For Everyone and in October 2005, his second solo album Self-Portrait (available on iTunes). Matt has recently released his new solo album Dream Of The Sun on iTunes.

He has also written and performed Scottish Suite: A Chamber Album featuring basset clarinet and piano, The Water Is Wide Suite: arrangements of British Folk-Songs (with Juice) and Journey On A Theme:Suite of arrangements of 1950s/60s Italian and French pop songs for basset clarinet, piano, bass and percussion. His Solo Project consists of five original pieces and one arrangement of Love for Sale by Cole Porter.
