Mike Lesirge has been a professional saxophonist since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music in 2004, where he studied with Jean Toussaint and Tim Garland and performed with Hermeto Pascoal, Django Bates, and Billy Cobham. He has since been a regular on the London music scene, performing with his own Quartet and playing and recording with some of London's top jazz musicians, as well as a huge variety of jazz, pop, soul and big band projects including the Will Collier Jazz Septet, Combustible Alarms Big Band, and ska band The Dualers.
Mike has performed at venues such as the Jazz Café, the Vortex, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Koko’s and the 606 club, appeared on-stage in London’s West End, and recorded sessions for BBC Radio at Maida Vale studios. He has toured in Sweden, Finland, Spain, Russia and Argentina
