Pablo Mendelssohn is a graduate of Trinity College of Music, and is now one of the busiest lead trumpet players around. Currently on a UK tour with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Pablo has also toured with Fame and Annie Get Your Gun. His West End experience includes deps on The Rat Pack and Simply Heavenly. He has also performed as guest principal trumpet with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the RTE Concert Orchestra.
His pop work includes Four Tops and Temptations UK tour 2005, Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Tony Bennett, Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Ray Davies, Ricky Martin, Will Young, Emma Bunton, S Club Seven, Atomic Kitten, Blue, Miss Teeq. Mario Grillo, Tito Rodriguez Jr and Tito Puente Jr, and Atar and the Funkadrome. He has appeared on television playing in the Queens Jubilee Concert- Buckingham Palace 2002 and with Shakira on the Pepsi Chart Show Channel 5. Freelance work also includes work with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Glenn Miller Orchestra UK, Back to Basie, Renegade Big Band, Young Guns Big Band, James O’Carrol Big Band, Trinity College of Music Big Band, and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
