Rhys graduated in 2008 from the Royal College of Music where he studied as a full scholar with Dave Stewart, Peter Harvey and Richard Edwards. Since leaving the RCM he has been touring with the 50th anniversary UK tour of West Side Story, as well as depping on shows in the West End such as Joseph and the Sound of Music. He has also had extensive orchestral experience, touring europe whilst at college with the European Union Youth Orchestra, and recently playing at Covent Garden Opera House and with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Rhys has also had fantastic Big Band Experience with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, the Jay Craig Orchestra, the James O'Carroll Big Band and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. With the many other ensembles Rhys plays with he has toured much of the world, from Indonesia to Canada, China to Brazil and even Kazakhstan!
