Steven Haynes

Trombone (Alto, Tenor, Bass), Euphonium, Sackbut

Steve Haynes is a Graduate of the Royal College of Music. He is a vastly experienced performer with a range of credits from the orchestral, session, pop and theatre worlds.

Steve has been on trial for the positions of Principal Trombone of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra Principal Trombone Sub Principal of BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Steve has also worked with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the Hofmusikkapelle Orchestra, Vienna, Opera North, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the European Union Youth Orchestra, and National Symphony Orchestra.

His musical theatre work includes Evita (Adelphi Theatre 2006), Spamalot (Palace Theatre 2007), Chess (Oslo 2006), Fame (UK tour 2007), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (UK tour 2007), West Side Story (Sadler’s Wells and UK tour 2008/9 - Andy Barnwell), Chicago (Cambridge Theatre 2008), Carousel (Savoy Theatre 2009), and the Witches of Eastwick (UK tour 2009).

He has also performed with world leading Brass Bands such as the Grimethorpe Colliery Brass Band, as well as the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
