After graduating with a first from The Royal Academy of Music's prestigious Jazz course, saxophonist/composer Tom Richards has toured internationally extensively, released his debut record by his 20 Piece Jazz Orchestra, and orchestrated for many large orchestra's and Big Bands for the concert hall and TV. Entitled "Smoke And Mirrors", the album, released on Candid records in 2007 received critical acclaim, and features Tom's original music as well as a collaboration featuring Jamie Cullum on vocals, whose band Tom has played in since 2005.

Orchestration/Arranging credits include- MASSIVE ATTACK (RFH Meltdown 2008 Bladerunner Soundtrack Live)), UNKLE (Somerset House, Union Chapel 2008), THE STREETS (Electric proms 2008) JAMIE CULLUM (various)  HARD-Fi (various TV 2007) CONCERTGEBOUW BIG BAND (Amsterdam 2007) LITTLE DORRIT (BBC 2008) and the METROPOLE ORCHESTRA (Amsterdam 2009).

Recording credits include Jamie Cullum, Katie Melua, Florence, Esser, Hard-Fi LIVE Dec 2007 (including 12 Month world tour on Keyboards) "Meet The Robinsons soundtrack" (Los Angeles 2006) "The Summerhouse" (soundtrack 2009) "Helen" (soundtrack 2009) Jonathan Jeramiah (2009). TV performance credits include: Paul McCartney, Tom Jones, Eric Clapton, Queen, Rod Stewart, Phil Collins and Shirley Bassey (Queens Jubilee horn section- House band 2002). Tom is also very active on the London Jazz scene, playing in various ensembles including- Joe Stilgoe, Gareth Lockrane Big Band, Laurence Cottle Big Band, Natalie Williams, and can be sen regularly as part of the Ronnie Scott's All-Stars.
